Rural Traffic Speeds

Broadhembury Parish Council is concerned about traffic speeds on our country roads and through the villages of our parish.

The National speed limit is 60mph and this applies to all rural single carriageway roads unless otherwise sign-posted. Walkers, horse-riders and cyclists frequently tell us that vehicles pass them at speeds which they believe to be excessive and dangerous.

Broadhembury Parish Council would like to know the extent of the problem. We would like to hear from you. Please tell us if you are concerned or have been affected by the speed of passing vehicles. We cannot act without knowing the extent of the problem.

Please write by email to the Clerk at clerk@broadhembury-pc.gov.uk or leave a comment on our web site at broadhembury-pc.gov.uk or speak to any Parish Councillor.
