Broadhembury & District Gardening Club

Broadhembury & District Gardening Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at Broadhembury Memorial Hall. The club is a friendly group of enthusiastic amateur gardeners. At most meetings we will welcome a visiting speaker, but we value our shared expertise and often have an input from a member.

Meetings always include a raffle, a plant sale and a tea break and are always informal.

We held our annual, very light-hearted flower and vegetable show on August 2nd 2018 and crowned a new champion, Valerie Breakspear. Mandy Persey won best in show for her exquisite cut flower arrangement.

In March 2019 we  welcomed the famous radio and TV gardener, Chris Beardshaw . An audience of 160 enjoyed a humorous and informative talk followed by a question and answer session.

Our next meeting will be on July 3rd and features Jayne Palmer who will talk on “Modern Herbal Medicine”. Visitors very welcome.  £2 admission.

Please contact the Chair Vyv Game on 01404 841623 if you would like any further information.
