What information do we collect about you?
Broadhembury Parish Council has a very small amount of personal data and it can be split into two categories: names and email addresses for our newsletter, and personal data for the Clerk – a salaried employee of the council. Consent for the use of the data for the newsletter was provided by physical sign-up at a public meeting, or online using our website form, which requires a verified email address and explicit consent confirmed.
How we use the information about you?
We use your names and email addresses in order to send out our newsletter via email to you, in order to provide news and information about our work on your behalf. We retain this information for as long as you consent to be on the list.
We use the Clerk’s personal data in order to fulfil our obligations as an employer.
We do not share this information with anyone, and the data is managed by Broadhembury Parish Council.
The site is hosted at WordPress.com, which is run by Automattic Inc. WordPress will collect some information from you when you visit our pages – a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example, the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it.
